Charlie And The Chocolate Factory 

This term we will be reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and looking at how Roald Dahl uses descriptions. To get ready for it we decided to become chocolate makers. We designed our packaging and made boxes and then chose the ingredients to make our own chocolate treats. Our focus in assembly was on fair-trade food, so we used this to look at how chocolate is farmed and made. Then we took our chocolates home.

They were delicious.

Wildwood Visit

Broadstairs went and visited the Wildwood trust to learn about different types of skeletons. They learnt about exoskeletons and endo skeletons, got to see them in person and learnt about their own skeletons too. After this, they showed the school values of respect as they got close to some furry friends, and courage as they travelled on a rope bridge over a brown bear enclosure!
